You want your deck to be of good quality as well as being built on schedule and on budget. We’ve mapped out a proven process for keeping your deck project going smoothly, from concept to completion. There are many factors affecting the timeline of your project, from scope and build time to you making approvals in a timely manner.
Consultation
Our process begins with the initial consultation to find out what you need, see your space and make measurements, and ultimately make a plan to give you the heavenly deck you’re after!
Design Phase
The design phase takes what we learned from the initial consultation, and we use it to start putting the pieces together to make it a reality. We map out your custom deck and all the details of its style and features, figure in material costs, and the scope of the work to be done.
Project Proposal
The project proposal zeroes in the fine details gleaned from the consultation and design phase and puts it together in a detailed document with an itemized list of everything your project will require down to the last nail and dollar spend. Once complete, we will meet with you in person, if possible, to go over everything we’ve put together for you, from design, materials, scope, and labor involved. We’re known for standing by our proposals and communicating immediately should you make a decision that changes the cost of your project.
Remodeling Filing Process
One aspect of deck building many homeowners don’t realize is the city or county permits required to get started. This will depend on where you live* and the extent of your deck build. We may need a building permit, surveyor land study, electrical permit, plumbing permit, and an inspection before and after the project.
*HOA approvals may be needed before any further permits may be acquired.
Production
With the necessary approvals and all the materials procured, the build out can begin. You’ll receive communication through the project manager for any updates, announcements, etc. During the build, we’ll do everything we can to avoid disrupting your life.
Completion & Quality
Once we put the finishing touches on your Heavenly Deck, the project manager will show you the fruit of our labor to make sure it’s everything you were hoping for. Our project 10-year workmanship warranty begins after we complete this process.
